The Exceptional Performance Award was presented to Nicholas Jinadasa for his achievements as an outstanding sportsman. Nicholas is a junior at University of California, Irvine. He is majoring in Psychology/Prelaw He became a National Merit Scholar finalist in 1999. Nicholas is an exceptional badminton player. He was a USA National team member from 1999 to 2003 and played in the Pan Am games in the Dominican Republic & Peru. He was ranked #1 in Mixed doubles with Samantha Jinadasa, Mixed doubles champion in 2002 & #2 in men’s singles. He also won the 2002 Junior Pan American Team Gold Medal, California State Games Badminton Athlete of the year in 1999 and All around Athlete of the year in 1999.
