Sanga bags the International Cricketer of the Year Award

Kumar Sangakkara won CEAT’s International Cricketer of Year award yesterday at a glamorous event held in Mumbai.  CEAT has honored the best of the international cricketers based on their performances as rated by the CEAT Cricket Ratings (CCR) since 1995. Sanga had a magnificent 2014-2015 becoming the first ever cricketer to score four consecutive World Cup centuries.


Sanga became the fourth Sri Lankan cricketer to win this award. The other three was Sanath Jayasuriya for 1997-98, Muttiah Muralitharan for 2000-01, 2001-02, 2006-07 and Sanga’s team mate Mahela Jayawardene for 2007-08. Fellow teammate Rangana Herath received the Best International Bowler of the Year award.
