German Ambassador to Sri Lanka Jergen Morhard met Deputy of Economic Affairs Minister Harsha de Silva and discussed partnering to manufacture Volkswagen, the second largest car maker in the world, in Sri Lanka. De Silva stated that a Volkswagon plant will give high paying jobs to workers and raise household income levels.
