Vas Aradhana (Rains Retreat Invitation) was a tradition started during the time of the Buddha. Full ordained monastics all over the world continue, up till the present time to observe this Rains Retreat for three months – from the full moon day in July to the full moon day in October. During this time, they dedicate their time to spiritual activities such as practicing meditation and studying dhamma thoroughly. This gives an opportunity for lay community to take care of the monastics by offering them food, drinks, medicine etc. and also to participate in spiritual activities more often.

Daily Activities at the Lankarama Buddhist Temple during the next three months starting July 10th at 7.00am Esala Poya Day retreat. Followed by Vassa Invitation at 6pm.

Every Saturday: 6pm- Bodhi Puja and 28 Atavisi Buddha Puja

Every Sunday: 5pm- Meditation

Address:398 Giano Avenue, La Puente CA 91744
