To celebrate our very close bond with nature, Sri Lankans celebrate “ Avurudu “ every year to pay tribute to the Sun, whose movement from Meena (Pisces) to Mesha (Aries) is the foundation of Sri Lankan New Year Celebrations. The Sri Lankan community in Los Angeles County and Orange County turned out in large numbers in Anaheim on April 6th to celebrate Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2018. The organizers, Sri Ratana International Buddhist Center & Orange County Lions Club had lined up many traditional and sports events for the participation of community members.
