The preparations are underway to once again take the “Pageant of Lanka” on Colorado Boulevard the famous Rose Bowl Route. Over twenty community leaders joined Sri Lanka Foundation on Sunday, March 11th to plan and discuss the parade. The team gathered to exchange ideas and create new concepts for floats.

Keith Ranga, will be the Pageant Operations Manager, and will be in charge of gathering volunteers and guiding the parade. Priyalal Kurera was elected the project manager. Bhadraji Jayathilake will be the artistic director of Pageant and Chandana Ranasinghe will be the construction manager.

Last year Sri Lanka Foundation’s Pageant of Lanka took to Colorado Boulevard to showcase Sri Lankan Arts and dance. This was the first time a Sri Lankan Parade took over a public street. Eight beautiful floats and over 200 dancers and performers showcased their Sri Lankan pride. This year the Parade will take over Colorado Boulevard on July 14, 2018 with larger and more vibrant floats.
