Sri Lanka’s national carrier, SriLankan Airlines took delivery of its latest Airbus A320neo. The new aircraft will allow Sri Lankan Airlines to gain more traction in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets under the airline’s new strategic focus in becoming a major regional player.
The Aircraft arrived from Air Lease Corporation making the airline the latest operator of the type. The ‘neo’ series has been designed to provide lower fuel consumption and lower operating costs through modern engines, aerodynamic refinements, large curved winglets known as sharklets and weight savings,” according to Captain Suren Ratwatte, CEO SriLankan Airlines.
