Sri Lanka’s Tallest building – Tribute to Sri Lankan Cricket Team

One of India’s biggest Real Estate Development Groups Shreepati Edifice has signed an agreement with the BOI to invest US$ 330 million to construct a mixed development hybrid project in Rajagiriya. The tower is designed by Reza Kabul Architects Pvt. Ltd and is a joint venture between Wills Realtors (Private) Limited and the Shreepati’s Edifice (Private) Limited incorporated in Sri Lanka (a subsidiary company of Shreepati Build Infra Investment Limited of India).

The structure of the building is Tubular and is tribute to the Sri Lankan Cricket Team’s finest hour the Cricket World Cup victory in 1996. It will be named the 1996 Iconic Tower. Once completed this tower will be the landmark and the tallest building in the country. The Tower will be comprised of 96 floors with an approximate height of 363 meters and will be completed with 376 residential apartments, 92 penthouses and modern amenities like entertainment desk, business center, swimming pool, gymnasium, spa, outdoor yoga and sky decks. They anticipate that the tower will be completed within 48 months.
