The Greater China Cup Dance sport Championship 2016 was held on the 28th of February 2016 at Shatin Regal Riverside Hotel, Hong Kong. This annual event was organized by World Dance Sport Association with a participation of more than 15 countries annually.
Aparajitha Ariyadasa and Ranul Kotugoda won the Overall Championship in the Senior Category in Latin Dancing whilst, 12 year old Thidasi Suwaris from Gateway College, Rajagiriya and 16 year old Ranul Kotugoda from S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia was placed Runner-Up in the Junior Amateur Category in Latin Dancing. All 3 students who participated for this championship are from Hiruni’s Lets Dance Academy and were trained by Mr. D R W K Colombage.
