Sri Lankan students at Jeju National University, South Korea, win postgraduate Awards of excellence

All awards of excellence for Masters and Doctoral Studies at Jeju National University at the Convocation Ceremony for the year 2015 were won by Sri Lankan students studying at the University. This is the first time in the history of Jeju National University that all awards of excellence at Master and Doctoral levels have been won by Sri Lankan students. This is also the first time that all such awards at a Convocation Ceremony have been won by students from one foreign country.
The Best Research Award for the most outstanding post-graduate in 2015 was won by Dr. Anushka Sandaruwan Elvitigala, a graduate of the University of Colombo, having competed among 44 Doctoral candidates. The Excellence Research Award for the most outstanding post-graduate in 2015 was won by Dr. Prasad Tharanga Jayasooriya, a graduate of the University of Peradeniya, for his Doctoral Studies. Mr. Susara Maddumahewage, a graduate of the University of Peradeniya, won the Best Research Award for Masters Studies among 112 Master Degree candidates. The Excellence Research Award for the most outstanding post-graduate for Master Studies in 2015 was won by Mr. Lalinka Herath, a graduate of the University of Colombo.
