Sri Lankan elected to the UK Parliament

Ranil Jayawardena, Conservative Party candidate, received almost two thirds of the valid votes in the North East Hampshire Constituency according to UK election results released today and was elected to the UK Parliament. Ranil was born in Sri Lanka and he grew up in Odiham. He currently lives in Bramley with his wife Allison and beautiful baby daughter Daisy. Ranil has served as a local Councilor since 2008, and is Deputy Leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
