The staff of Sri Lanka Foundation together with some amazing volunteers came together at the Casa Adobe San Rafeal in Glendale to host Sri Lanka Foundation’s inaugural Family Fun Day on a Sunday. This event was specially created by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe for young families and their kids to mix, mingle and meet with other parents just like them. The park was decorated like a carnival with colorful balloons, flags, bubbles and cartoon characters. The kids enjoyed the bouncing house, miniature golf, basketball, Alice the clown and various magic tricks with Mr. Funn.

Live music was provided by Rohan Mendis. The kids enjoyed dancing and winning various goodies for dancing to favorites like “Let it Snow” and “The Chicken Dance”. Kids and parents and parents who wished they were kids enjoyed the delicious cotton candy, ice cream, pizza and hotdogs.

”We love this event, please host more events like this” said one parent while he was watching his daughter have fun at the bouncing house. Faces were painted, balloon animals were made, lego houses were built, cookies were decorated, minions filled with candy exploded and laughter filled the park. This was indeed one Sunday filled with loads of fun.
