Sri Lanka Army to build first ever Vesak pandal in Malaysia

Sri Lanka Army said it has made arrangements to erect the first-ever Vesak pandal in Malaysia on account of the forthcoming Vesak season, in an attempt to show the glamour and significance of Vesak spirits to Malaysians.

The Army said a group of Corps of Engineer Services (CES) troops according to the directions of the Commander of the Army will begin the erection of the historic structure in Kuala Lumpur shortly.

Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake during his visit to Malaysia from April 16-19 to attend the 16th edition of the Defense Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition – 2018 and its Conference met with the chief monks of the Buddhist temples in Kuala Lumpur.
