“Sigiriya Rally Cross 2016” organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force in association with the Sri Lanka Autosports Drivers Association (SLADA) successfully concluded recently (5th Sunday, June 2016). Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala graced the occasion as the chief guest.
“Sigiriya Rally Cross 2016” is considered as one of the main events in Sri Lankan motor racing calendar with its unique track. Sigiriya track is the only Tar and Gravel combined track in Sri Lanka.
Ishan Dasanayaka and Ushan Perera became the Best Rider and Best Driver respectively at the Sigiriya Rally Cross 2016.
The profits earned through this event will be utilized for the welfare of SLAF personnel.
Board of Management of the Air Force, Chairman of the SLAF motor racing Air Vice Marshal CP Welikala, officers, air force personnel and a large number of spectators were present to witness the “Sigiriya Rally Cross 2016”.
