Before joining the cast of Mamma Mia, the trio had been familiar with the music. “I knew the songs from my childhood. Since I can remember my mum and I used to listen to these songs and sing a long to them” said Lucy. For Leisha, Abba music is ingrained in her. “We all know the songs. We grew up with them and these are songs that will live on forever”. “Everyone known the music from little kids to older people. They all know the Abba songs” quipped Lotte.

Keisha attributes the appealing story line for the success of Mamma Mia. “This is a musical that caters to all ages and of course the songs of Abba have such a universal appeal. Mamma Mia is just one of those shows which everyone just loves. The happiness is infectious”. Lotte added that she often sees five year olds to grown adults dancing during the show.

With songs such as Dancing Girl, Thank you for the music, Take a chance on me and so much more, the show has a feel good vibe which people can connect to added Lucy. Fun is most definitely the name of the game as the cast and crew unleash a lashings of sheer Abba magic!
