“m Stop”: Army designed Sri Lanka’s first multi-functional bus halt accredited to the public…

Sri Lanka’s first-ever multi-functional bus halt which is air-conditioned and powered by solar power was opened to the public on 17, March 2021 near the ‘Diyatha Uyana area in Battaramulla. Sri Lankan Army personnel from Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment should be praised in the account of bringing the concept to reality. 

This eco-friendly bus stop incorporates digital accessories with comfortable infrastructure and it is too embodied with an ATM, Wi-Fi facilities, CCTV surveillance, city map navigation system, digital LCD to telecast mini commercials, air-conditioned seating area for the passengers, demonstration of the bus time table marking the arrivals and the departures. Moreover, it includes mini shops with reloading facilities.
