In celebration of the 2561th Vesak day, Los Angeles Buddhist Vihara in Pasadena organized a Vesak Celebration last weekend. Vesak, of course, is the anniversary of the Buddha’s birth, his enlightenment and passing away. The celebration included a meditation retreat, dana, Bakthi Gee, opening of a beautiful revolving vesak lantern and a dansala. Devotees from around California were present to celebrate this day.
