Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing participated at the 15th Beijing International Book Fair, which was held last week under the theme of “Colourful Dream of the Silk Road”. On the opening day of the Book Fair, “The Story of Sigiriya” by Senani Ponnamperuma was presented on behalf of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing by secretary Inoka Weerasinghe. She highlighted the Site guide and Sigiri frescos in order to promote Sigiriya as a tourist destination to chinese book lovers. The Sri Lanka Mission in Beijing is currently endeavoring to translate culturally important Sri Lankan literature into Chinese.
