Japanese delegation meets Sri Lanka President to discuss future development projects

A special delegation of Japanese officials headed by Dr. Hiroto Izumi, the Special Advisor to Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe met with Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s House this morning (04).

The delegation has arrived in Sri Lanka to inquire into and study the development projects that are to be implemented in Sri Lanka in the future according to the facts that surfaced during talks the President had with the Prime Minister Abe during his official visit to Japan.The President took the opportunity to thank the Government of Japan for the high esteem and warm welcome he had received during his visit to Japan.

The President assured the delegation that necessary steps will be taken to implement these projects successfully. Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka Kenichi Suganuma and Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prasad Kariyawasam were also present on the occasion.
