Three giant Studios in Hollywood Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox have tied up with Sri Lanka’s leading Film Circuit MPI (Movie Producers & Importers Co. Pvt Ltd) through its partnering firm Skyline Entertainment and Consultancy Pvt Ltd.
Skyline Entertainment and Consultancy Pvt Ltd represents Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox for four different Asian markets – Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
MPI Film Circuit since mid 2018 has released a number of mega hit movies from Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox where Skyline Entertainment and Consultancy Pvt Ltd has selected MPI as the exclusive film circuit in Sri Lanka for movies produced by these Hollywood Studios. “We have released the new animated movie by Sony Pictures made with a budget of USD 90 million, ‘Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse’ on December 14. It is doing well at the box office,” MPI Film Circuit Director Dr. Arosha Fernando said.
“We have also released ‘Aquaman’ by Warner Bros with an estimated budget of USD 200 million just after week of releasing ‘Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse’ on December 21 which is a great success. We will be releasing ‘Alita : Battle Angel’ by 20th Century Fox soon. This is also expected to be another success,” said Dr. Arosha.
