Macy’s celebrated Nigel Barker’s Sri Lankan heritage by hosting an event for him to share his achievements in life and his viewpoints and tips on fashion and photography. It was also a great opportunity for all his fans to purchase a copy of his New York Times Best Seller ‘Models of Influence’ and get their copies personally signed by Nigel. The interview of Nigel Barker was conducted by Sri Lankan actress, Former Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World and one time Provincial Councillor Anarkalli Aakarssha. The event also showcased two enchanting dance performances by Lal Thilakaratne and Chaturi Wickramarachi from the Sri Lankan Foundation.

Nigel was very warm and relaxed and had no reservations about being himself, he was very humble when he spoke of his family, his achievements and his realizations. Nigel Barker’s mother, a former Miss Sri Lanka, played a huge role in forming his great love and passion for the fashion world.
