French Naval ship arrives at Sri Lankan port on goodwill visit

The Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, welcomed a French naval ship arriving at the Port of Trincomalee on Monday.
The French naval vessel “Revi” arrived at the Port of Trincomalee yesterday on a goodwill visit, the Navy said.
The Commanding Officer of the French tug supply vessel, Lieutenant Stéphane Congues called on Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters and held cordial discussions.
Deputy Area Commander of Eastern Naval Area, Commodore Meril Sudarshana, and a host of officers from the command were present on the occasion. Mementos were also exchanged to signify this official meeting.
The ship which is due to stay in Sri Lanka until 18 August, is scheduled to engage in a number of programs organised by the Sri Lanka Navy.
