Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka to be launched in March 2016

According to Economy Next Hearst Magazines International and Capital Media, a Colombo-based publishing house will launch the Sri Lanka edition of Cosmopolitan in March 2016. The announcement was made by Gautam Ranji, Hearst Magazines International senior vice president, licensing and business development and Shamindra Kulamannage, executive director of Capital Media. “The Cosmopolitan brand is truly global, and we’re pleased to be partnering with Capital Media to bring the magazine’s ‘fun, fearless’ message to the young women of Sri Lanka,” Gautam Ranji, Hearst Magazines International senior vice president said in a statement. Cosmopolitan is the largest young women’s media brand in the world. “Cosmopolitan will be an exciting addition to the media landscape in Sri Lanka, offering young women inspiring news, lifestyle content and stories that resonate, encouraging them to be bold and confident in every way,” Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka publisher Antoinette Ludowyk said. Cosmopolitan is a true super-brand, encourages young women to live their lives to the fullest.  Reaching a print and digital audience of more than 100 million worldwide, the brand delivers the latest on fashion and beauty, relationships, health and fitness, career and entertainment. Hearst also publishes ELLE, ELLE DECOR, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s BAZAAR, Popular Mechanics, and Seventeen. Launched in 2012, Capital Media publishes Echelon, a business monthly and EconomyNext.com.
