The Colombo International Book Fair will commence at the BMICH today. The programme will run till the 25th of this month. It has 410 stalls. General Secretary of the Book Publisher’s Association Upali Wanigasooriya said that book publishers from 60 countries will exhibit at the event.
He added that a conference on Sinhalese Language will be the 20th to 22nd of this month. Prof.J.B. Dissanayake, Prof. K.N.O.Dharmadasa and Prof. Sandagomi Koparahewa will preside over the event. The general secretary added that 100 new books will be launched at the exhibition.
