Last Saturday, Al Jabbar was awarded the Nagi Daifallah Social Justice Award at the 19th Annual Orange County Flag Day celebration.
Nagi Daifallah was an Yemeni immigrant who fought alongside Cesar Chavez during the grape strike before he was clubbed to death by a sheriff deputy.
