Sri Lanka climbs 15 spots to 117th Place

Sri Lanka climbed 15 places to rank at 117 position bagging 4.415 points in the latest World Happiness Report. Denmark topped the ranking while Switzerland came second. Released to coincide with World Happiness Day on March 20, the UN released the fourth edition of the index which ranks 156 countries by their “happiness levels. Report seeks to quantify happiness as a means of making societies healthier and more efficient. GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, social freedom, generosity and absence of corruption are among factors that considers when preparing the report. The report encompasses 158 nations. The US has gone up two positions to 13, India is ranked 118th, down from 117th in 2015. For more information visit world happiness
