The Sri Lanka Muslim Association of California (SLMAC) and the Sri Lanka Association of Southern California (SLAASC) hosted the Sri Lanka Sumo Wrestling Team for dinner that competed in the US Sumo Open 2016, at the California State University in Long Beach. Chamila Karawita qualified to the quarter final heavy weight category ranking 5th in the competition beating wrestlers from over 60 other countries.
