The Battle of the Maroons Los Angeles was organized by Anada College Old Boys Association of the West Coast & Nalanda Collage Old Boys Association of America. Members and families of both OBAs got together at the Centennial Park in Santa Ana last Saturday to mix and mingle over a good game of Cricket. The Chief Guest were Dr. Sarath Gunapala and his wife Vajira.

The Anandians won the toss and batted first making over 205 runs in 20 overs, the Nalndians gave a good fight but fell short. The winning team was awarded the Gunawardena Challenge Trophy. Harindu Wijesekara of Ananda College scored an unbeaten 77 runs winning the Best Batsman trophy, while the Bandula Somaweera Best Bowler Trophy went to Hiran Pelawatta.
