SLF Accredited Academy of Performing Arts Open Enrollment, January 19th, 10.00am to 12.00pm

Sri Lanka Foundation, formed in 2003 to highlight and promote the nation’s culture in the U.S and beyond, is offering the public a chance to explore their facilities and immerse themselves in Sri Lankan tradition this Sunday at their facility located at 2010 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The Academy of Performing Arts Dance and Drumming Program is taught by very qualified and experienced teacher’s. The classes are held on the weekends starting at 9.30am until 2.00pm.The students participate in creation, interpretation and production of original art inspired by the culture of Sri Lanka. They have participated in over 40 cultural events taking Sri Lankan traditional dance to an international level. Under the teacher’s tutelage, they pass on the beauty of Sri Lankan music, dance, drumming and language to the community.

In May of 2019 the school passed a milestone, receiving Accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The Accreditation serves as a statement to the broader community and education stakeholders that the institution offers student enrichment and is committed to their ongoing improvement.

Don’t miss out the “OPEN ENROLLMENT” will be held at 10.00am to 12.00pm on January 19th to enroll students for the new school year which will be first come first served! The school will be open until 6.00pm, if you are unable to join us for the formal presentation in the morning.
