Her exceptionally beautiful soprano voice earned her a scholarship at Julliard School of Music institution, where she was able to expand her singing talents. Ms. Goonetilleke recently displayed her exceptional talents in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflote,” (The Magic Flute), singing the role of Pamina. She also won several awards, among which are Encouragement Award at the Met Regional Auditions, Audience Favorite First Award for Palmetto Opera Competition, State and Regional winner at NATS Competition for 3 consecutive years, winner of Concerto Competition held by The Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka, Yamaha Trophy for having won Trinity College of Music prizes for 3 consecutive years.
