Major General Ruwan Kulatunga appointed as new Intelligence Chief In Sri Lanka

June 13, Colombo: Major General Ruwan Kulatunga has been appointed as the Chief of the National Intelligence (CNI) Unit. The Ministry of Defense on the instructions of the President has appointed Major General Kulatunga to fill the vacancy left behind by the resignation of former chief retired Senior DIG Sisira Mendis. Major General Kulatunga received his letter of appointment from the Secretary to the Ministry of Defense General (retd.) Shantha Kottegoda (Rtd) at a brief ceremony held at his office at the Ministry, today (13 June). Ruwan Kulatunga, joined the Sri Lanka Army as a cadet officer in 1984 and prior to the appointment as the National Intelligence Chief, he served as the Commanding Officer of the Defense Staff College, Bataland Source – Colombo page
