A large crowd packed the St.Justin Martyr Catholic Church Parish Hall in Anaheim last Friday night to take part in a candlelit vigil for the victims of last week’s bombings in Sri Lanka. Many people in attendance had ties to the community, with leaders of different faith groups and community members delivering speeches during the event. Rev. Father Anton Fernando, Venerable Sumana Thera, & Dr. Ahmed Sobohoh spoke out about the importance of unity. This event was organized by the Southern California Community. They were able to arrange dinner for all the attendees as well. More than 250 people were killed in the series of suicide bombs that took place at churches and luxury hotels on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka. Four Americans were also among the victims.
