Harry Jayawardene with Japanese Consortium for Sri Lankan Airlines

Business tycoon Harry Jayawardene has tied up with two of Japan’s leading airlines, namely All Nippon Airways(ANA) and Japan Airlines(JAL), to make a bid for SriLankan Airlines. They are teaming up to acquire a 49% stake in Sri Lankan Airlines. Emirates Airlines also expressed an interest in the stake. The government is looking for an entity with which to tie up to manage SriLankan airlines in a Private-Public Partnership (PPP).
