A group of 48 Buddhist monks arrived from Bhutan on the request of King of Bhutan to invoke blessings on Sri Lankans, the new government and seeking protection from the new coronavirus. The monks chanted pirith and conducted other religious observances at the Nagananda International Institute for Buddhist Studies (NIIBS), Kelaniya on Wednesday morning to invoke blessings.
