Sri Lanka businesses donate medical equipment to Mogra Children’s Home Medical Centre in Kenya

Hela Intimates Kenya and St. Theresa Industries (Kenya) Ltd. in collaboration with Sri Lanka High Commission in Nairobi handed over medical equipment worth over Ksh 55,500 to the Mogra Children’s Home Medical Centre, on Kiambu Road Nairobi on 7 January. At the Mogra Children’s Home there are over 300 children of all ages.

Founder and Director Hannah Wairimu Njoroge, Accountant, Head of day to day operations Irene Wambui and Manager Simion Karugu accepted the donation on behalf of the Mogra Children’s Home from High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Kenya Sunil de Silva, Hela Intimates Kenya General Manager Nilantha Kasturiarachchi and St. Theresa Industries Director International Business Development Sebastian Damith Perera.

The donation was part of continuous assistance granted by Sri Lankan businesses established in Kenya as part of their corporate social responsibility. In December 2018, the Sri Lankan community and businesses donated food and medicare items to the Mogra Children’s home.
