VIDEO ATTACHED!!Audience from across the globe poured in to attend the International Medical Webinar hosted by SLF Int, in USA

It was April 24th, 2021, Saturday night in US, April 25th, Sunday morning in UK and Sri Lanka and Sunday afternoon in Australia when the Sri Lanka Foundation Medical hosted the International Medical webinar to educate and bring awareness on the “Scientific Session and What we know Today” of COVID-19 to the global audience.

The program began with a great Welcome by the Sri Lanka Foundation staff, Achala Weerasinghe, the Director of Cultural Affairs & Director of Operations for the Academy of Performing Arts, followed by the Host, Keshini Wijegoonaratna, Director of Project Management & Public Relations, and the Co-Host, Chamodh Amarasinghe, the Media Director.

The Founder of the Sri Lanka Foundation, Dr Walter Jayasinghe thanked the panel of doctors for their valuable time and their contribution and also thanked Dr Deepthi, the Medical Director, and Keshini, the Project Director for putting this medical webinar together.

His Excellency Ambassador Ravinatha Ariyasinhe was one of the distinguish guests, in his remarks he mentioned the value of theses programs and thanked the Foundation for their continued effort to serve the communities worldwide. The new Consul General to Los Angeles, Dr Lalith Chandradasa received a warm welcome from the Foundation and he continued to appreciate the Foundation for their valuable contribution to the global community. The Vice President of the Foundation, Aeshea Jayasinghe said she was looking forward to this program as this panel of doctors were exceptional medical professionals from many different countries who was going to share their hands on experience in dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This wonderful symposium was presented by a panel of experts in the medical professional that have studied in gathering the latest international scientific findings and knowledge on COVID-19. The panel of doctors has explored the latest COVID-19 related research, reviews, commentary, news and analysis across epidemiology, treatments, vaccines and much more from across the world.

*The Medical Director of the Sri Lanka Foundation, Dr Deepthi Jayasekara, MD,FACP, M-IDSA, 
Infectious Disease Specialist from US Clinical Professor, Western University, 
Chief of Infectious Disease, Emanate Health & San Dimas Hospital, moderated the session to be very interactive among the panel of doctors during the Q & A Session.

*Professor Suranjith Seneviratne from UK DPhil(Oxon), MBBS, MD, DPath, MRCPath, MRCP, FRCP, FRCPath, FCCP Professor and Consultant in Clinical Immunology and Allergy Institute of Immunity and Transplantation and Health Services Laboratories, London, UK Nawaloka Hospital Research and Education Foundation, Sri Lanka

*Dr.Dushyantha Jayaweera, M.D, FACP, MRCOG from US Professor Infectious Disease Specialist, University of Miami School of Medicine and University of Miami Hospital.

*Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama, M.B.B.S, MD, MRCP (UK), FCCP Consultant Physician of National Institute of Infectious Disease ( IDH), Sri Lanka External lecture/examiner in faculties of Medicines and a member of the National Medicines, Regulatory Authority of Sri Lanka, President of the Ceylon College of Physicians for the year 2020.


Questions started to pour in from the chatline, which were all addressed by the panel and received many messages of appreciation from the global community.

The program ended with the vote of thanks presented by the Foundation President, Dr Dishan Jayasinha, with words of appreciation to the doctors for a job well done!!!
