Who is eligible? Females with some Sri Lankan ancestry Applications All entries for the Miss Sri Lanka - America Pageant must be filled out on the form provided by Sri Lanka Foundation. All applications must accompany a non-refundable Entry Fee of $50.00. Applications must be completed and signed by the participant or parents and participants who are minors. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Photographs All candidates are required to provide one (1) 8 x 10 full length photograph, and two (2) 5 x 7 headshots with a short bio-data profile. Participants are required to sign a waiver permitting Sri Lanka Foundation to use the photographs for pre and post publicity in electronic and other media. Orientation & Rehearsals All participants are required to attend the orientation and rehearsals. Dates, times, and venue will be announced by the Producers. Rules and regulations will be explained to all participants in detail. Designs for the Cloth & Jacket will be at the sole discretion of Sri Lanka Foundation’s Pageant Producers. Judging All participants will be judged in Cloth & Jacket and Evening dress wear. The maximum cost incurred by the participant for their Evening dress wear should not exceed an amount agreed upon by the Producers. This amount will be announced at the orientation. Winners will reign for one year. If, during this period, they wish to participate in any other pageant or similar event, or participate in any endorsements, they are required to obtain prior consent from the Pageant Producers and Sri Lanka Foundation. All scoring sheets are the property of Sri Lanka Foundation. Any contestant that wishes to view their personal score sheet may do so at the Sri Lanka Foundation headquarters. No copies are permitted to leave the office. |
